Prof. Yang Jinglei uses carbon fiber reinforced polymer composite (in his hands) and versatile microcapsules (shown on display) to manufacture self-healing, fire-resistant, and impact-proof multifunctional structures, contributing to a lightweight and safer solution for aircraft and electric vehicles.
