Description
The program is designed to benefit students with a broad range of backgrounds. It aims to enable them to acquire advanced up-to-date technical knowledge in emerging mechanical engineering fields. This will in turn enhance their skills and knowledge in the design and manufacturing of various electrical, mechanical and thermal systems, their components, as well as in materials technology.

Program Details 

Admission and English Proficiency Requirements

Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering / Engineering Management / Materials Science and Engineering / Electrical and Electronic Engineering / Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related disciplines with second class honors or above, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university or tertiary institution.

Program Tuition Fee

The nominal program fee for 2019/20 Spring (February) intake full-time study is HK$147,000 (paid in 2 installments) and part-time study is HK$120,000 (paid in 4 installments) respectively.

Curriculum

Students are required to complete at least 30 credits of MESF courses. Subject to approval, students may take a maximum of 9 credits of courses from IBTM or MECH postgraduate courses offered by the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering to fulfill the program requirements. GE’s Edison Scholars Enrollment in Master of Science (MSc) in Mechanical Engineering (MECH)

GE will fully sponsor qualified and selected “Edison scholars” under the Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP) to pursue Master of Science (MSc) programs in Aeronautical Engineering (AE) or Mechanical Engineering (MECH).  Selected candidates are required to submit the application via HKUST Online PG Admissions System.
